Sandra Rose
One of the college’s most versatile athletes, Sandra Rose competed in field hockey, basketball, gymnastics, tennis, and softball while at Everett Community College. Her specialty in gymnastics was rebound tumbling, placing third in the nation and earning All-America honors as a gymnast in 1966. In the spring of 1967, she was a member of the state champion women’s doubles tennis team. Rose continued her education at Eastern Washington University, where she competed in five sports and was selected the Women’s Outstanding Athlete in 1969. Her career as an educator and coached spanned over thirty years in Washington, Idaho, and California.
