Bob Warner competed in 1973 and 1974 as a football player at Everett Community College following a stellar career at Arlington High School. He was a two-year starter at linebacker for coach Marv Cross, who called Warner “one of the most inspirational and coachable young men you could ever hope to have on a team.” He transferred to the University of California, and was selected in 1976 as a second team All West Coast defensive lineman. He returned to the area after his college career and lives in Sedro-Wooley.
