2013 Baseball Team

The 2013 NWAACC Champion Trojan Baseball team was built on a decade of success achieved by the hundreds of players and coaches who preceded them.  The 39-10 record is tied for the most wins in program history, and their run through the playoffs was championed by grit, perseverance, and determination.  A 21-3 north region record was more than enough to clinch the 3rd north region championship in the Levi Lacey era.  With high expectations, the Trojans dropped the first two post season games in the north division playoffs but responded with resiliency to win five straight, including a 5 day weather delay going into the championship game against Pierce.   Three runs in the 5th inning followed by four consecutive shutout innings sealed the 4-1 win.

Season highlights:

  • First conference championship since 1966

  • 9th consecutive post season appearance, third straight time to Final 8 in Longview
