LONGVIEW, Wash. – The Everett Trojans broke out with a three-run sixth inning and let their pitching staff do the rest in a 3-1 victory over the Blue Mountain Timberwolves in game three of the 2024 NWAC Baseball Championship at Lower Columbia College's David Story Field on Thursday evening.

The North region No. 1-seeded Trojans (31-14) scored all three of their runs in a big sixth inning which featured three hits and two walks for EVCC. Micah Coleman got the first run in with a single before Baylor Hill hit a two-out, two-run, pinch-hit single to put the Trojans up 3-1. Hill stepped up in a big moment for Cooper McBride, who left the game with an injury. Hill doubled his RBI total on the season with the big hit of the day.

Wyatt Queen earned the win for the Trojans as he allowed one unearned run over six strong innings. AJ Hendrickson came out of the bullpen and threw three perfect innings with five strikeouts to earn the save.

Blue Mountain (27-22) starting pitcher Otho Savage was solid over six innings, allowing three runs. Savage had limited EVCC to just two hits and no runs prior to the big sixth inning. Nathanael Warwick pitched two scoreless innings in relief.

The Timberwolves, who are making their first-ever appearance at the NWAC Championship, opened the scoring in the second inning as Joel Romo had an RBI single to bring home Chance Oldham. BMCC was held to just one hit after scoring a run in the second.

Everett advances on in the winner's bracket and will play the night cap on Friday at 7:35 p.m. against the winner of Thursday's finale between Lower Columbia and Linn-Benton. The Timberwolves will play in a loser-out game on Friday at 12:35 p.m. against the loser of LCC and LBCC.
