
Everett, WA - The 2025 EvCC Baseball team opened up the year with a four-game series sweep over Yakima Valley, outscoring the Yaks by a combined total of 26-7.
Game 1
Everett overcame an early 3-0 deficit, using a three-run third inning and steady scoring to secure a 7-5 victory over Yakima Valley. Despite being outhit 14-7, Everett capitalized on key moments and shut down Yakima Valley's offense in the late innings.

On Sunday, Everett had little trouble getting runs across the plate in the first game of the doubleheader exploding for 13 runs on just four hits and capitalizing on 12 walks. Three runs in the first, four in the fourth, and five in the fifth sealed the deal.

Everett relied on stellar pitching and timely hitting to secure a 3-1 win in the final game of the series and completed the four game sweep for the second consecutive season. EvCC opened up last season with a four game series over Yakima, and came out with the same result. Yakima Valley grabbed an early 1-0 lead, but Everett responded in the second and third innings to take control of the game. Everett's bullpen came through (5.2 IP, 1 H, 7 K, 0 R) after starter Landon Welter left the game due to injury.
