3-1 Weekend Keeps Trojans at the Top of the North Standings

The Trojans wrapped up a successful weekend, going 3-1 in conference play with dominant pitching performances through three of the four games. After splitting Saturday's doubleheader against Bellevue, Everett swept Shoreline on Sunday to improve their north region record to 6-2.

Game 1: Bellevue 9, Everett 2
Everett struggled in the opener against Bellevue, managing just two runs in a tough 9-2 loss. Despite the defeat, Max Paterson (1-for-4) and Luka Ruljancich (1-for-3, RBI) provided some offensive highlights. AJ Hendrickson (3.2 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 1 K) took his first loss of the season, now with a 5-1 record.

Game 2: Everett 2, Bellevue 0
The Trojans rebounded in the second game with an impressive shutout. Blake Sandvik was dominant on the mound, tossing 7.2 scoreless innings, allowing five hits, and striking out nine for a new career single game career high. Jake Lockwood led the offense, going 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Game 3: Everett 8, Shoreline 0
EvCC continued its stellar pitching with another shutout, this time against Shoreline. Adison Mattix delivered an outstanding start, throwing 8.0 scoreless innings, giving up just three hits, and striking out nine. He picked up win number four on the season.  Colin Beazizo and Micah Coleman each contributed with key hits, while Luka Ruljancich drove in three runs.

Game 4: Everett 3, Shoreline 0
The Trojans completed the weekend sweep behind another lights-out pitching performance, as Basil Hendrix (6.1 IP, 6 H, 0 ER, 5 K) controlled the game.  The bullpen (Trevor Young and Cooper McBride) did their jobs combining for four strikeouts on just two hits.  McBride got his second save of the season. Offensively, Davis Downer (1-for-3, RBI) and Paterson (2-for-4, R) helped secure the win.

Weekend Standouts:

Blake Sandvik & Adison Mattix: A combined 15.2 scoreless innings, 18 strikeouts, and only eight hits allowed.

Basil Hendrix: 6.1 IP, 0 ER, 5 K in Sunday's win.

Jake Lockwood: .429 avg (3-for-7), including key hits in Everett's victories.

Luka Ruljancich: 3 RBIs and a stolen base in the weekend set.

Max Paterson: 5 hits, 2 RBI's, 1 stolen base and scored 2 runs

Colin Beazizo: 4 hits, scored 3 runs, drew 2 walks, stole 1 base

Davis Downer: 4 hits, scored 2 runs, drove in a run, stole a base, and drew a walk

After three straight shutout wins, the Trojans now have nine on the season and look to carry that momentum into next weekend with a four game series against rival Edmonds College in the T-Trophy showdown.  Everett will be in Lynnwood on Friday April 4th for a 4pm and 7pm doubleheader, and will return to Funko Field on April 6th for the second half of the four-game series.  That doubleheader is scheduled for 1pm and 4pm and will be Little League Day for Lake Stevens and Mill Creek.
