Ezra Lacina is in his first year as Head Assistant Coach at Everett Community College and fourth as a member of the Trojan coaching staff. Coach Lacina served as the catching coach under Coach JoJo Howie and Coach Parker Guinn before being promoted to Head Assistant and Recruiting Coordinator by Head Coach Keith Hessler in 2023. Since coming to Everett Lacina has overseen the development and game planning for the Trojan catchers. In that, time five EvCC catchers have gone on to play NCAA D1 baseball. On top of leading the catching room, Coach Lacina oversees recruiting and assists with overall day to day operations of the baseball program. 
 
Prior to joining the EvCC staff Lacina spent one year coaching at Sterling College (KS.) where he served as recruiting coordinator, catching coach and assistant hitting coach. 
Coach Lacina played college baseball at Green River CC and Sterling College (NAIA). He graduated from Sterling with honors in 2019 earning a B.S. in Criminal Justice Pre-Law. 

Outside of his college coaching career, Lacina has coached for Honda Baseball Club, Benz Baseball, The Cascade Collegiate League, Rijo/Elevate and PNW Fall Scout. He has also served as a catching/hitting instructor for City Baseball Club, Base by Pros and The Elevated Performance Academy.
 
Coach Lacina was born and raised in the Seattle area graduating from Vashon Island High School in 2014 where he excelled at baseball and football. He resides in Mill Creek, WA with his wife Patti and son, Mickey.
