Bouncing back after a tough loss to Spokane the Everett Trojans played Highline in their final game of the EvCC Crossover. Both Teams got off to a slow start with a total of 7 points in the first 4 minutes of action. At about the 15 minute mark, the Trojans started to heat up over the course of the next 5 minutes to take a 21-9 lead with 10 minutes left in the half. Everett and Highline traded baskets the rest of the half going into the locker room with the Trojans up 47-36.
Piol Makuei scored a career high 23 points in 35 minutes of action for the Trojans. Piol shot 9 of 16 from the floor and filled the stat sheet with 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals. Devin Smith came up big with a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Elijah Seybold played some big minutes down the stretch coming off the bench scoring 12 points on only 8 shot attempts. The Trojans as a team shot well from the floor going for 53.7%.
The Trojans were able to hold off Highline outscoring their opponents 45-37 in the second half putting the final score at 92-73 Trojans.
