Shoreline, WA - The number #2 ranked Trojans headed to Shoreline on the heels of a 3-2 come from behind win four days ago against Highline. The road warriors put up a ten spot on the host Dolphins, the most goals scored in a single game in program's 46 year history. The first came less than six minutes into the match by Luis Castillo, his first of his collegiate career. Six more goals would be scored that half on 16 shots.
The second half got started much in the same way as the first half did. Moments after kick off, Everett scored less than five minutes in, this time by Muhammed Darboe who had scored two back in the first half to complete the hat-trick. Those three doubled his season total, now at 6 and tied for 3rd most in the NWAC.
River Stewart who had gotten an assist for a goal scored back in the 39th minute by Emmanuel Nyaga got his 11th goal of the season in the 81st minute giving him the most in the NWAC by three goals. River has now scored a goal in all six matches played for the Trojans.
The final goal of the game came from the man that scored the first, Luis Carillo in the 85th minute. Other goal scorers were Colin Abendroth in the 33rd minute who scored his first career goal and Emmanuel Nyaga scored a pair of goals, one in the 39th and another in the 79th to bring his season total up to 4.
Starting keeper Avary Olson and the Trojan defense kept the clean sheet for the second time this season and no EvCC players received a caution also for the second time this season.
Everett stays on the road, though not traveling far for next week's Wednesay afternoon matchup with cross town rival Edmonds. The Tritons sit at 2-4-1 on the season but all records are cast aside in this showdown with points on the line towards the coveted T-Trophy. Kick off is set for 4:15pm at Triton Field in Lynnwood.
