
Everett, WA - The Trojans took care of business on Saturday night, defeating Edmonds College 7-0 in the T-Trophy Rivalry match. Everett entered the contest with a 3-2 north region record, and in need of a win to close out the first half of north region play on a high note. The focus was evident when the Trojans scored goals in the 12th and 15th minute, both assisted by Lunden Fenster. The first was scored by Hakim Keita from just inside the box, and the second came off a cross that found the head of Alhagie Ceesay for his 3rd goal of the season. Keita struck again in the 29th minute on a cross from Dilon Spahia who made a great run up the ride side from his defensive position.
The Trojans tacked on two more scores before the halftime whistle, Aiden Raney scored on a header in the 39th minute and four minutes later Lucas Siemering scored his first career goal to make it 5-0.
Everett was in cruise control in the second half, Aiden Raney scored on a corner kick assist from Noah Harrison Russell and the punctuation mark came in the 65th minute when Carlos Perez came into the match and scored his first collegiate goal.
EvCC will have the week to prepare for a rematch with Whatcom at home on Saturday afternoon. The Orcas sit at 2-4 in North Region play, losing to Everett 1-0 back on September 14th.
