Seattle, WA - The Everett Community College Men's and Women's Track and Field teams concluded their spring season with the North Region open at Cheif Sealth High School. Four NWAC schools competed and in both the men's and women's team scores, the Trojans came out on top.
The women ran away with the meet scoring 62 points, with the next closest school being Green River College, scoring 26 points. Everett had eight event wins, including Mattason Straub (100m and 200m), Tracey Hatch (400m), Ellee London (800m), Monet Rundle (long jump), Livii Fetterly (shot put), and the 4x400m relay team won by over 7 seconds. There were eight Personal bests; freshman Tracey Hatch ran 1:04.74 in the 400m ranking 5th in the NWAC, freshman Caelyn Foster ran 2:55.83 in the 800m ranking 26th in the NWAC and 5:57.04 in the 1500m ranking 20th in the NWAC, freshman Johanna Schmidt ran 6:25.44 in the 1500m, the 4x100 relay team of Mattason Straub, Livii Fetterly, Tracey Hatch, and Kianna Kivisto ran 50.84 ranks 2nd in the NWAC, the 4x400 relay team of Tracey Hatch, Elle London, Avery Daniels, and Mamona Kahsai ran 4:30.04 ranks 3rd in the NWAC, freshman Monet Rundle jumped 5.02m in the LJ ranks 6th in the NWAC, freshman Mattason Straub jumped 4.77m in the LJ ranks 10th in the NWAC, and freshman Livii Fetterly threw 11.70m in the shot put, ranks 1st in the NWAC.
The men were in a much closer team point race, but ultimately prevailed at 52 points, five points ahead of Olumpic College finishing with 47. Everett had six event wins, including Chris Gray (400m), Ryan Barene (5000m), Elijah Ross-Rutter (110 hurdles), Javon Gray (long jump and triple jump), and the 4x400 relay won by over 7 seconds. There were eight personal bests; Christopher Gray ran 50.57 in the 400m ranks 5th in the NWAC, Jake Waterhouse ran 2:03.32 in the 800 ranks 12th in the NWAC, Xavier Barnes ran 2:03.88 in the 800m ranks 13th in the NWAC, Jack Whitefoot ran 17:36.62 in the 5000m ranks 27th in the NWAC, Elijah Ross Rutter jumped 6.35m in the long jump ranks 11th in the NWAC, Hunter Quick jumped 6.17m in the long jump ranks 15th in the NWAC, Benito Zuze jumped 13.8m in the triple jump ranks 5th in the NWAC, and Gabe Heckman threw 37.76m in the Discus ranks 9th in the NWAC.
