8/26 at 2014 NWAC Friendlies Day 1 - The Women's Soccer Team was at Starfire Complex in Tukwila, WA to participate in the 2014 NWAC Friendlies Tournament. The Women played at 8:30am today against the Hawks of Columbia Basin College. The Trojans scored first with a goal by Rachel Detroit at the 23 minute mark, with the assist going to Kelsie Neill. Before half time in the 40th minute, the Hawks scored to tie it up with a goal by Debra Hulse. With about five minutes left in the game, in the 85th minute, Trojan Lauren Allison made a pass to Victoria Lentz who scored off the pass to get the Trojans to take the lead 2-1. The Hawks were unable to score in the final minutes of the game, so the Trojans get the win. Rachel Leupold had 3 saves for Everett and Sydnee Grant had 7 saves for CBC. EvCC is 1-0-0 overall and CBC is 0-1-0 overall.

 

8/27 at NWAC 2014 Friendlies Day 2 - Day two of the 2014 NWAC Soccer Friendlies in Tukwila, WA had the Trojan Team getting the "W". Both teams played at 12:30pm. The Women faced Pierce College and with a goal by Karissa Burnett in the 12th minute, the Trojans beat the Raiders 1-0. Denae Weigelt had the assist and Rachel Leupold had 1 save in goal. Raiders goal keepers Erin Nelson & Megan Lesmeister had 6 & 5 saves respectfully. Everett Women are now 2-0-0 overall with 3 goals for and 1 goal against with 1 shutout. Pierce College is 0-1-1 overall with 1 goal for and 2 goals against.

 

8/30 Results vs Tacoma - The Tacoma CC Titans hosted the Trojans in the first league games of the 2014 season on Saturday, Aug. 30th. The Women's games started at 12:00pm with the Men following at 2:15pm. In the Women's game, the Trojans completely dominated the Titans scoring three goals in the first half and two in the second to win the game 5-0. Lauren Allison had goals in the 13th minute and 23rd minute and assisted on the goal in the 19th minute by Victoria Lentz. CJ Shaver had the assist on the first goal and Kelsie Neill had it on the 3rd goal. Nicole West scored unassisted in the 73rd minute and Lentz assisted on Rebecca Carnevales' goal in the 90th minute. Trojan Rachel Leupold had 2 saves while Titan keepers Hailey Bell had 5 and Maria Alonso had 7.  Everett Women are now 1-0-0 in league with 3 points and 3-0-0 overall with 8 goals for, 1 goal against and 2 shutouts. Tacoma Women are 0-1-0 in league and 12-0 overall with 4 goals for and 10 goals against.

 

9/5 Results vs Lower Columbia - Friday, Sept. 5th, the Trojans hosted the Red Devils of Lower Columbia College in a league game. The game began at 3:00pm and at the 1:39 mark, Everett had scored their first goal of the game by Denae Weigelt, assisted by Bailie Weikel. At the 3:53 mark, Rachel Detroit on the pass from Lauren Allison scored Everett's second goal of the game. Bailie Weikel scored two more times in the first half - at 16:33 and at 21:07, Kelsie Neill assisted on the 16:33 goal. At half time, Everett led 4-0. Three minutes and forty-seven seconds into the second half, Everett's Alma Mana'o scored making it 5-0. Trojans Rachel Detroit & Karissa Burnett each scored twice in the second half - Detroit at 72:27 & 84:50; Burnett at 78:37 & 83:00; Detroit also assisted on Burnett's 83:00 goal. At the end of 90 minutes, Everett won with a score of 9-0. Rachel Leupold recorded the shutout with 3 saves for EvCC and LCC's Alexandria Aspinwall had 9 saves. Everett is now 2-0-0 in league with 6 points, 4-0-0 overall with 17 goals for, 1 goal against and 3 shutouts. LCC is 0-2-0 in league, 1-2-1 overall with 8 goals for, 13 goals against and 1 shutout.

 

9/6 Results vs Grays Harbor - The Trojan Women's Soccer Team hosted a league game with the Chokers of Grays Harbor College on Saturday, September 6th at Kasch Park. From the start, the Trojans dominated the game. In the first half, Everett scored 10 goals while Grays Harbor was unable to score. Goals by Everett were: 5:08 - Kelsie Neill; 12:08 - Rachel Detroit assisted by Victoria Lentz; 14:43 & 16:53 - Karissa Burnett; 18:51 - Rachel Detroit assisted by CJ Shaver; 20:52 - Bailie Weikel; 22:49 Rachel Detroit assisted by Victoria Lentz; 23:35 - Denae Weigelt; 27:50 - Rebecca Carnevale; 33:13 - Bailey Ellis assisted by Denae Weigelt. Within the first 22 seconds of the second half, Everett's CJ Shaver scored for the 11th goal of the game.  At 48:18 Krista King scored the 12th goal assisted by Shaver. A little over 20 minutes later at 68:24, Carnevale assisted by Weigelt scored the 13th goal. At 78:42 Weigelt score her second goal of the game and the 14th of the game and she assisted Bailey Ellis on the goal at 80:30. The Trojans won the game by a score of 15-0. Rachel Leupold recorded the shutout and had 1 save for Everett and Jensina Alvarenga had 15 saves for the Grays Harbor. Everett is now 3-0-0 in league with 9 points, 5-00 overall with 32 goals for, 1 goal against and 4 shutouts. Grays Harbor is 0-2-0 in league, 1-2-1 overall with 10 goals for and 30 goals against.

 

9/12 Results vs Highline - The Trojan Women's Soccer Team traveled to Starfire Complex in Tukwila, WA to play league games with the Thunderbirds of Highline CC on Friday, September 12th. The Women's game started the day off at 1:00pm and the Men followed at 3:15pm. In the Women's game, Trojan Keeper Rachel Leupold had 4 saves, however had allowed 2 goals while Thunderbirds Keepers Tessa Bruland had 4 saves and Amber Nielsen had 1 save and allowed no goals. Highline won 2-0 with a goal in the 36th minute by Madison Gale who was assisted by Nanea Tavares. The second goal was not turned in to the conference. Everett Women are now 3-1-0 in league with 9 points, 5-10 overall with 32 goals for, 3 goals against and 4 shutouts. Highline Women are 4-0-1 in league with 13 points, 6-0-1 overall with 32 goals for, 4 goals against and 4 shutouts.

 

9/13 Results vs Bellevue - Everett's Women's Soccer Teams was on the campus of Bellevue College on Saturday, September 13th for league games against the Bulldogs. The Women started off at 12pm with the Men following at 2:15pm. In the Women's game, the first half ended in a tie at 00 and it wasn't until the 77th minute that the tie was broken by a goal by Trojan Victoria Lentz. At the end of the game, the Trojans won 1-0 over the Bulldogs. Rachel Leupold had 1 save and recorded the shutout for the Trojans while Bulldog Catie Getzendaner had 4 saves. Everett Women are 4-1-0 in league with 12 points, 6-1-0 overall, with 33 goals for, 3 goals against and 5 shutouts. Bellevue Women are 2-1-4 in league with 10 points, 3-1-5 overall with 12 goals for, 10 goals against and 2 shutouts.

 

9/17 Results vs Peninsula - On Wednesday, September 17th, The Trojan Soccer Teams hosted the Pirates of Peninsula College in league games at Kasch Park.  The Women's game began at 4:15pm and it wasn't until the 66th minute that the first and only goal was scored in the game. The goal was scored by Everett's Rachel Detroit with the assist from Kelsie Neill. This was the first goal that the Peninsula Women had allowed scored on them all season. Trojan Rachel Leupold had 5 saves and recorded the shutout and Pirate Manaia Siania-Unutoa had 3 saves. Everett Women are now 5-1-0 in league with 15 points, 7-1-0 overall with 34 goals for, 3 goals against and 6 shutouts. Peninsula Women are 4-1-0 in league with 12 points, 6-1-0 overall with 19 goals for, 1 goal against and 6 shutouts.

 

9/20 Results vs Olympic - On Saturday, September 20th, the Trojan Soccer Teams hosted league games with the Rangers of Olympic College at Kasch Park. 12:00pm was the start of the Women's game and 45 minutes later the score was 0-0. At 50:45, Trojan Lauren Allison scored the only goal of the game to have Everett win 1-0. Trojan Keeper Rachel Leupold recorded the shutout with 3 saves while Ranger Keeper Cassady Orstad had 6 saves. Everett Women are now 6-1-0 in league with 18 points, 8-1-0 overall with 35 goals for, 3 goals against and 7 shutouts. Olympic Women are 3-4-1 in league with 10 points, 5-4-1 overall with 24 goals for, 14 goals against and 3 shutouts.

 

9/23 Results vs TLC - Tuesday, Sept 23rd, had the Women's Soccer team playing a non-league match with Trinity Lutheran College at Kasch Park at 3:30pm. With only one shot on goal, TLC was able to score the only goal of the game to win 1-0 over the Trojans. The Women are now 9-2-0 overall, 6-1-0 in league with 18 points, 35 goals for and 4 goals against with 7 shutouts.

 

9/27 Results vs Edmonds - On Saturday, Sept. 27th, the Trojan Women's Soccer Team hosted league games with the Tritons of Edmonds CC. The Women's Game started the afternoon off at 12:00pm and there were no goals in the first half for either team. It wasn't until 61:59 that the first goal happened, and that was by Trojan Lauren Allison. Everett scored their second goal at 80:08 when Bailie Weikel passed the ball to Matti Norton who scored. Edmonds scored their only goal at 82:52 by Kylee Billings with the assist from Riguelle Weaver. Everett won 2-1 to increase their league record to 7-1-0 with 21 points, 9-2-0 overall with 37 goals for, 5 goals against and 7 shutouts. Edmonds is 4-3-1 in league with 13 points, 6-3-1 overall with 24 goals for, 11 goals against and 5 shutouts.

 

10/1 Results vs Whatcom - Everett Soccer was in Bellingham, WA on the campus of Whatcom CC to play the Orcas in league soccer games on Wednesday Oct. 1st. The Women started the afternoon off at 3:00pm. At the 21st minute Trojan Mikayla Whitton scored the first goal of the game to lead 1-0. Orca Hannah Mankle tied the game 1-1 with her goal in the 33rd minute. Going into half time, the scored was tied 1-1. During the second half, there was only goal scored and it was in the 84th minute by Everett's Lauren Allison with the assist from Rachel Detroit. Everett won 2-1. Trojan Keeper Rachel Leupold had 1 save and Orca Keeper Megan O'Keefe had 3 saves. Everett Women are now 8-1-0 in league with 24 points, 10-2-0 overall with 39 goals for, 6 goals against and 7 shutouts. Whatcom Women are 4-4-1 in league with 13 points, 4-6-1 overall with 20 goals for, 15 goals against and 3 shutouts.

 

10/4 Results vs Skagit Valley - On the afternoon of Saturday, Oct. 4th, the Trojan Soccer Teams and the Skagit Valley College Cardinals Soccer Teams were at Kasch Park to play league games on field #2. The Women started the afternoon off at 12:00pm and at 21:07 of the game, Trojan Lauren Allison scored the first goal. Teammate Ava Mana'o scored the Trojans second goal at 41:26 to lead 2-0 going into half time. With a pass from Allison, Matti Norton scored Everett's third goal at 79:46. Then not even three minutes later, Allison scored her second goal and Everett's fourth and final goal of the game at 82:03. Skagit was unable to get a shot passed Trojan Keeper Rachel Leupold, who recorded the shut out and they only had one shot on goal. Cardinal Keeper Mikayla Sundquist had 8 saves. Everett Women are 9-1-0 in league with 27 points (1st in the Northern Region), 11-2-0 overall with 43 goals for, 6 goals against and 8 shutouts. Skagit Women are 2-6-2 in league with 8 points (6th in the Northern Region), 3-7-2 overall with 8 goals for, 32 goals against and 3 shutouts.

 

10/8 Results vs Green River - The Women's Soccer Team was in Auburn, WA on the afternoon of Oct. 8th to play a league game with the Gators of Green River CC. The game started at 2:00pm and in the 13 minute mark, Trojan Lauren Allison scored the Trojans first goal on the assist from Kelsie Neill. Ten minutes later in the 23rd minute, Trojan CJ Shaver scored the second goal with the assist from Allison. Shaver scored her second goal and the teams third goal in the 39th minute on a pass from Krista King to go into half time ahead 3-0. With five minutes left in the game, Trojan Denae Weigelt scored on a pass from Allison to close the game out at 4-0. Trojan Keeper Rachel Leupold had 1 save and recorded the shutout and Gator Keeper Molly Lambert had 7 saves. Everett is now 10-1-0 in league with 30 points, 12-2-0 overall with 47 goals for, 6 goals against and 9 shutouts. Green River is now 4-7-0 in league with 12 points, 6-7-0 overall with 23 goals for, 23 goals against and 4 shutouts.

 

10/11 Results vs Shoreline - The Trojan Women's Soccer Team hosted the Shoreline CC Dolphins in league games on Saturday, October 11th at Kasch Park. The Women's game started at 12:00pm and the first half ended with a 0-0 tie. It wasn't until the 74th minute that the only goal was scored and it was done by Everett's Matti Norton.

 

10/15 Results vs Edmonds - The league soccer games between the Trojans and the Tritons of Edmonds CC took place on Wednesday night, Oct. 15th at the Edmonds CC Multi-sport complex in Lynnwood, WA. The Women's game started at 5:00pm with the Men following at 7:15pm. The first half of the Women's game ended in a 0-0 tie. There were no goals scored in the second half until the 73rd minute and that was by Everett's Kelsie Neill. In the 87th minute the second and final goal of the game was scored, again by Neill to give the Trojans the win 2-0.  Rachel Leupold had 4 saves and recorded the shutout for Everett while Edmonds Keeper Alecia Longsine had 9 saves. Everett is now 12-1-0 in league with 36 points, 14-2-0 overall with 50 goals for, 6 goals against and 11 shutouts. Edmonds is 7-5-1 in league with 22 points, 9-5-1 overall with 33 goals for, 18 goals against and 8 shutouts.

 

10/18 Results vs Whatcom - The Orcas of Whatcom CC were at Kasch Park on Saturday, Oct. 18th to play league soccer games with the Trojans. The Women's game started at 12:00pm and at 15:35 into the game, Rachel Detroit for the Trojans scored on a pass from Lauren Allison. The first half finished with a 1-0 score in favor of the Trojans. At 58:40 of the game, Allison once again passed to Detroit who scored her second goal and the Trojans too. Then at 72:20 Allison scored the third goal of the game on the assist from Victoria Lentz. The Orcas were unable to score. Trojan Keeper, Rachel Leupold recorded the shutout with 4 saves while Orca Keeper Megan O'Keefe had 8 saves. Everett Women are now 13-1-0 in league with 39 points, 15-2-0 overall with 53 goals for, 6 goals against and 12 shutouts. Whatcom Women are 6-7-1 in league with 19 points, 6-9-1 overall with 24 goals for, 21 goals against and 5 shutouts.

 

10/22 Results vs Skagit Valley - The league soccer games between the Trojans and the Cardinals of Skagit Valley College took place Wednesday, Oct. 22nd in Mt. Vernon, WA. The Women's game started at 1:00pm and at the 8 minute mark, Trojan Denae Weigelt scored on the assist from Rachel Detroit. Lauren Allison on a pass from Bailie Weikel scored in the 38th minute for the Trojans to take a 2-0 lead going into half time. In the 51st minute, Cardinal Samantha Mesman scored their only goal of the game. At the 89th minute, Trojan Ava Mana'o scored the third goal. The Trojans scored a fourth goal to win the game 4-1, however who scored the fourth goal was not recorded to the NWAC site, nor was the number of saves by Trojan Keeper Rachel Leupold. Cardinal Keeper Mikayla Sundquist had 20 saves. Everett Women is now 14-1-0 in league with 42 points, 16-2-0 overall with 57 goals for, 7 goals against and 12 shutouts. Skagit Valley Women are now 3-10-2 in league with 11 points, 4-11-2 overall with 10 goals for, 44 goals against and 4 shutouts.

 

10/25 Results vs GRCC - The Trojan Women's Soccer Team hosted the Gators of Green River CC in a league game at Kasch Park on Saturday, Oct. 25th.  This was the last home game of the regular season for the Trojans and it started at 12:00pm. At 15:47, Denae Weigelt passed the ball to Rachel Detroit who scored the Trojans first goal of the game. The next goal wasn't achieved until right before halftime at 43:33 by Everett's Matti Norton on the assist from Bailie Weikel to go into halftime with a 2-0 lead. After halftime, Weikel once again passed the ball to Norton, who scored the Trojans third goal at 54:18. About twenty minutes later, Trojan CJ Shaver scored their fourth goal unassisted at 74:29, then scored again at 79:23 unassisted.  With about 6 minutes left in the game, Everett's Lauren Allison scored unassisted at 84:14. Green River's Brandy Sinclair scored the Gators only goal with 15 seconds left in the game. Everett won 6-1, to improve their league record to 15-1-0 with 45 points, an overall record of 17-2-0 with 63 goals for, 8 goals against and 12 shutouts. Green River falls to a league record of 4-12-0 with 12 points, an overall record of 6-12-0 with 24 goals for, 36 goals against and 4 shutouts. Rachel Leupold, Trojan Goal Keeper had 5 saves while Molly Lambert, Gator Goal Keeper had 8 saves.

 

10/26 Trojan Women's Soccer clinches Title - With the league win over the Green River CC Gators on Saturday, Oct. 25th, the Trojans Women's Soccer Team have clinched their fourth Northern Region Title in five years. They were the N. Region Champions in 2010, 2011, & 2012, and now in 2014. With taking 1st in the North, they will have a bye for the 1st round of the 2014 NWAC Playoffs and will host the 2nd round against an opponent yet to be determined on Saturday, Nov. 8th. Congratulations to the Team and the Coaches on a great year!

 

11/1 Results vs Shoreline - The Women's Soccer Team played the final league games of the 2014 season with Shoreline CC on Saturday, November 1st in Seattle, WA. The Women started at 5:15pm with the Men following at 7:30pm. In the Women's game, there were only 8 saves by the goalies total for both teams - 1 for Everett and 7 for Shoreline. With a shutout for both teams, the game ended in a tie 0-0. Trojan Rachel Leupold recorded the shutout for Everett and Dolphin Melissa Schuetze recorded it for Shoreline. Everett Women finished league in first place with a record of 15-1-1 with 46 points and an overall record of 17-2-1 with 63 goals for, 8 goals against and 13 shutouts. Shoreline Women finished league in second place with 10-4-3 record with 33 points and an overall record of 11-6-3 with 45 goals for, 22 goals against and 9 shutouts.

 

11/8 NWAC Soccer 2nd Round - Since EvCC Women's Soccer took 1st in league, they had a bye in the 1st round of the 2014 NWAC Championship Playoffs. They hosted the 2nd round game on Saturday, Nov. 8th against the Bulldogs of Bellevue College at Kasch Park. The game started at 12pm and the first half ended with no goals for either team. One minute into the second half, Trojan Alma Mana'o assisted Karissa Burnett on the first goal of the game. At the 69th minute, Trojan Bailie Weikel scored to give Everett the 2-0 lead. Trojan Rachel Detroit scored the third and final goal from the pass from Ashley Simons in the 78th minute. With the 3-0 win, the Trojans advance to the Semi-Final game that will take place at Starfire Complex on Saturday, Nov. 15th. Trojan Keeper, Rachel Leupold had 3 saves and recorded the shutout and Bulldog Keeper Maggie Alikpolo-Wilson had 7 saves. Everett's overall record is now 18-2-1 with 66 goals for, 8 goals against and 14 shutouts. Bellevue ended their season with an overall record of 96-7 with 59 goals for, 24 goals against and 7 shutouts.

 

11/12 2014 Soccer All-Stars Announced - The NWAC released the Regional All-Stars for the 2014 season. In the Women's North-West Region - Trojan Head Coach Geoff Kittle was named Northern Region Coach of the Year. As for Trojan Women's All-Stars: Forward - Lauren Allison; Mid-Fielders Victoria Lentz & Kelsie Neill; Defenders - Emily Nelson & Mikayla Whitton. 

 

11/15 NWAC Semi-Final - The Women's Soccer Team was in Tukwila, WA to play a SemiFinal game against the Sasquatch from the CC's of Spokane in the 2014 NWAC Championships. The game was played at Starfire Complex on Saturday, Nov. 15th and started at 10:30am.  Sydni Thomas got the Sasquatch on the board first with a goal at the 19th minute of the game. To tie the game up, Trojan Matti Norton scored at the 30th minute, and that was how the first half ended, 1-1. After the second half started, Lauren Allison on a pass from Bailie Weikel scored the Trojans second goal at the 56th minute. Then at the 62nd minute, Allison scored again on a pass this time from Rachel Detroit to put the Trojans up 3-1. With about 2 minutes left, Serena Robertson on the assist from Sarah Melvin scored Spokane's second goal. At the end of 90 minutes, the Trojans won 3-2 to advance to the Championship Game on Sunday, Nov. 16th. at 3:00pm. Trojan Goal Keeper Rachel Leupold had 4 saves and Spokane Goal Keeper Samantha Burmester had 1 save. Everett's overall record now is 19-2-1 with 69 goals for, 10 goals against and 14 shutouts. Spokane ends their 2014 season with league record of 15-1-2, 47 points, 20-3-2 overall record with 72 goals for, 11 goals against and 17 shutouts.

 

Women's Soccer WINS 2014 NWAC Title 11/16 - The 2014 Trojan Women's Soccer Team beat Peninsula College in the NWAC 2014 Championship Game with a score of 1-0 to claim the Championship Title on Sunday November 16th. The game took place at Starfire Complex in Tukwila, WA. This was the second meeting between the Trojans and the Pirates, with both games ending the same way - Everett winning 1-0. The first meeting was on Sept 17th in Everett, and the Trojans gave the Pirates not only their first loss in 21 games but also was the first team to score on them in the 2014 season as well. In the Championship Game on Sunday, it wasn't until the 80th minute that Trojan Alma Mana'o scored the only goal of the game. There were many chances by both teams to score, but Everett was the only one to get the ball into the back of the net.  This is the first title for the Trojan Women's Soccer Team and they finished the season with an overall record of 20-2-1, with 70 goals for and 10 goals against and 15 shutouts. Peninsula finished the season with a 19-2-2 overall record with 80 goals for, 4 goals against and 19 shutouts. Trojan Lauren Allison was named Tournament MVP.
