Women's Soccer Coach hired!

The Women's Soccer Team has hired a new coach for the 2017 season. Rafael dos Anjos Marins - aka Rafael Marins has accepted the position. Coach Marins takes over a program that has made the NWAC playoffs for the past six straight seasons, winning the North Region Title in three of those years and capturing the NWAC Championship in 2014. Rafael brings multiple years of experience coaching locally at the club level for both U-15 and U-19’s. Prior to moving to the Pacific Northwest, Coach Marins played semi-professionally for FC Wichita and the indoor Wichita B-52’s while he was also an assistant coach at his alma mater, Tabor College in Kansas. Rafael was recruited to Tabor College from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where he competed all four seasons leading his team to the conference finals in both his junior and senior seasons. He graduated with his Bachelors in Business Administration. “Rafael has an obvious wealth of soccer knowledge, and an immense passion for the game,” Everett CC Director of Athletics Garet Studer stated. “This, combined with his dedication to the academic and athletic successes of our student athletes, makes for a terrific fit for our program.”

Soccer Results day 1 NWAC Friendlys 8/24 

The Trojan Soccer Teams both lost in their first games of the 2017 season at the NWAC Friendly's. The Women lost to Tacoma CC 0-3. The first half ended with the Titans leading 2-0. Goals for the Titans were - J. Kvinsland in the 20th minute; I. Creighton (assisted H. Thompson) in the 31st minute and J. Lauderback (assisted by J. Johnson) in the 52nd minute. Trojan Goalie, Jori Frisinger had 12 saves in the game while Titan Goalie C. Cecil had 2 saves. Everett Women are now 0-1-0 (win-loss-tie) overall and Tacoma Women are 1-0-0. 

Soccer All-Star Event - 11/12

There were 6 members of the Men's & Women's Trojan Soccer Teams that were named to the North-West Region All-Star Teams. On the Men's side -Freshman Forward Aaron (Gregor) Byrne, Sophomore Forward Ariaan Cardenas and Freshman Keeper Drexel Cordona. On the Women's side - Sophomore Forward Camryn Cross, Freshman Midfielders Lauren Dowdell and Jewelia Meischke. They will play in the All-Star Games before the 2017 NWAC Championship Soccer match on Sunday November 12th. The games will be played at Starfire Sports Complex located at 14800 Starfire Way, Seattle, WA 98188.
