Everett, WA - The Trojans avenged their earlier season loss to the Whatcom Orcas on Tuesday night, led by freshman Maya Gaudia's 19 kills.  Everett needed the win to keep their playoff hopes alive, and played with urgency in the opening set, winning 27-25.  After falling behind 7-3, EvCC rallied with a 10-3 run, but found themselves trailing 22-24.  Morgan Armitage got a kill to save set point, and Halle Wilkinson recorded back to back service aces to seize momentum and win the set.

The Trojans had Whatcom on the ropes in set two, leading 23-21, but Whatcom scored four straight to tie up the match. The third set was also close and was tied at 21.  But it was the Trojans turn to finish strong, and they scored the final four straight points with kills from Armitage and Camilla Olive, and a punctuation service ace from Halle Wilkinson.  She finished the match with four aces.

Everett won the fourth set in dominating fashion building out a 12-3 lead.  Whatcom was able to climb back to within five, but the Trojans won it going away 25-12, highlighted by an Annika Mason block.
